What are we learning this week?
We are learning about the role of gravity in the solar system and outer space, and working with models!

Unit - Earth's Place in the Universe: Students will explore our earthly relationship with the sun and moon. This includes eclipses, tides, lunar phases, angle of insolation and seasons.
Students will practice academic vocabulary, as well as content specific vocabulary. They will use the metric system to complete a project creating to-scale models of objects in the solar system, and investigate to role gravity plays in their models by learning its effects in galaxies, and within the fabric of space-time as a whole.
We do our investigations through direct instruction, guided practice, video, models, math, readings, and manipulatives in this unit to hone visual, auditory and tactile learning styles.
